On a cold winter day, Cooking for the Crowd delivered food to a wonderful little program changing lives in Dallas. PEEP is an acronym that stands for "Parent Education & Engagement Program" and these programs focus on enhancing early childhood education through parental involvement and support. The PEEP program that operates out of St. Phillip St and St. Augustine Catholic Academy collaborates with Cooking for the Crowd to entice participation through a monthly hot meal program.
One Thursday evening a month, Cooking for the Crowd delivers a nutritious meal for about 25 families to enjoy while they listen, learn, and ask questions about how to be great parents to their little ones.
The food is unloaded, silverware is carefully wrapped and the tables and chairs are set. After that, it's time to round up the volunteers to plate the delicious, hot food.
The plated food is laid out and ready for parents to come pick up their meal and settle in for the program. The parents will learn on this cold winter evening about ways to be good parents in an ever changing world. Ways to keep their kids safe and how to model good behavior to cultivate good citizens.
Faith is the cornerstone of this school and the PEEP program helps continue the lessons of faith while raising little ones. A hot meal is crucial to enticing busy parents to attend. Cooking for the Crowd is a proud partner in their efforts. Way to go, PEEP!

Cooking for the Crowd was founded with the simple premise: Love, respect and dignity are foundational to human potential and the fact that small non-profit organizations inefficiently spend much of their time and resources feeding the people they serve, regardless of their actual mission. This essay shares Cooking for the Crowd's mission: to take cooking off PEEP's plate so they can focus on their mission!
May it be so! Thanks for reading the latest installment of a storytelling series where we highlight the missions of the amazing groups we serve.
